Coordinator - Community Health Programs (Contingent Day Shift)

DESCRIPTION: Under limited supervision and direction of the Department Manager/Director, the Coordinator of Community Education Health Programs is responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of health initiatives and maintenance of records of the partnership and education activities. Assesses educational and training needs of the community and/or staff, and plans, develops, and implements educational programs in consideration of and in cooperation with each related discipline. Assists in data collection along with reporting and monitoring of outcomes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN Required. Minimum of three (3) years progressively more responsible experience in health care. Prior experience in education, quality assurance, or performance improvement activities highly preferred. Must have vehicle and a valid driver's license and auto insurance and travel to congregations and schools. One (1) year of experience with a patient specific population (i.e. elderly/school age) preferred. Ability to work with diverse populations/groups/teams. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Group presentation experience required. Strong mathematical and analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational skills; owns and honors deadlines. Working knowledge of computer software for word processing, format development, spreadsheet management and development of educational programs. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet). Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in any direct participant contact. Must have progressively responsible related work experience in a leadership role to effectively develop and coordinate programs, mentor and coach others.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: RN License in the State of Michigan is required. Must have current/valid driver's license.
