ROLE: DIRECTOR OF REHABILIATION SERVICES (ONLY OTR/SLP/PT)
SHIFT STATUS: FULL-TIME
Directly responsible to the Administrator. Directly supervises program staff including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech/Language Pathologists, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides. May provide direct supervision to student interns. Acts as a liaison to the Nursing Department and assists with development and oversight of Restorative Nursing programs.
The Director of Rehabilitation Servicesis responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, speech services for the assigned center. The Director of Rehabilitation Servicesis responsible for the clinical oversight in a manner that supports the goals of the designated center(s) while meeting federal and state regulations, as well as state specific practice acts.
Candiadte must have at least 2 years of management experience, credential - either OTR, RPT or SLP.
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Doctorate, as required for initial professional preparation, in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology.
Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions required. Current membership in professional organizations at the state and national level preferred.Two to four years of clinical experience required; one to two years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines preferred in a long term care setting.
