Description & Requirements
This position provides financial counsel to the Taste Elevation team including Marketing- Sales- and is a liaison with Operations. As the financial representative on the team- the Associate Director- Category Finance serves as the voice of finance in the decision-making process as it relates to quarterly/annual reviews- monthly close process (including analysis and reporting)- oversight of commercialization initiatives- and development of the strategic plan. The position interfaces daily with all members of the category team to comprehend business results and insure delivery of financial commitments. In addition- the position interacts with the Operations group to support productivity efforts and works with Procurement to align on strategic pricing and risk management strategies.
Key Components of the Role
Partners with Marketing to develop and simulate the P&L based on performance- commercialization- and pricing
Leads the AOP and partners with Marketing to analyze and deliver results in Monthly Performance Review
Leads collaboration with the Cross Functional teams to understand cost driver performance and ensure proper translation of pricing into the P&L
Oversees a team who conduct P&L financial analysis and cost modeling at the individual category level
Co-leads development and implementation of the pricing strategy based on competitive prices and cost drivers
Develops accurate financial plans and forecasts- ensures thorough understanding of opportunities- risks- and rewards- and influences the business to drive profitable growth
Lead commercialization process of new products through renovation- and innovation process
Plays a key role in demand and financial forecasting of cost drivers Coach and develop direct reports to own category-specific finance processes- targets- and deliverables
BS in Finance- Accounting or Business Administration required
10 years of experience in Finance/Accounting
Advanced business acumen- interpersonal- communication and negotiation skills
Ability to influence cross-functional team member
Forecasting skills of financial models and demand drivers such as IRI- NPV- Cashflow- and P&L
Knowledge of Nielsen- IRI- and 3rd party data systems preferred
FiT and SAP knowledge desired
