Portfolio Media Manager

The Lilly Media team is embarking on an exciting transition, pivoting to centralized media unit with an enterprise portfolio approach to media and marketing spend. The Portfolio Media Manager role will be a critical addition to team as we embark on this transition.

We are seeking experienced media and marketing professional to be responsible for owning Lilly’s Consumer Media Portfolio Strategy. In this role, you will ensure the portfolio strategy is closely tied to strategic drivers and business impact. You will lead work streams that build the foundation for all consumer media brand planning, buying and measurement. Lilly’s Consumer Portfolio is comprised of brands across Diabetes, Oncology, Immunology and Neuroscience therapeutic areas. Leadership and Influence: Lead and influence decisions cross-functionally. Deliver presentations and provide recommendations that are concise, insightful and on point. Lead discussions/presentations to leadership 2-3 levels up.
Strategic Development: Lead development of portfolio consumer media strategy. Participate in annual portfolio planning process; including development of portfolio channel strategy/mix, measurement plan.
Go-To Market Approach: Lead top-down portfolio buying, balancing enterprise priorities with brand needs. Manage streamlined upfront commitments across channels.
Optimization and Analysis: An understanding of how creative, media, technology and analytics integrate. Lead integration of media into analytics. In partnership with Lilly Analytics lead the cross-brand learning agenda, inclusive of test-n-learn opportunities.
Agency Management: Establish expectations (two-way) for client – agency partnership. Work closely with agency’s Managing Director, Portfolio Investment Lead and Operations Director to ensure portfolio management.
Partner Management: Drive core partnership objectives of performance, innovation and measurement with joint business partners.
On-Going: Maintains a strong understanding of the ever evolving marketplace and consumer’s needs. Works with leadership to develop future roadmap for the team.
Financial Management: Track and lead budget for the portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, Communication, Marketing or Business
8+ years of media agency experience

Additional Skills/Preferences

Experience in developing multi-channel media strategies
Experience in developing joint business partnerships with key advertisers (i.e. Facebook, Google).
Experience with Media Tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Webtrends, Doubleclick)
Experience in Media and Marketing Measurement and Analytics (i.e. MMM, Attribution)
Experience with portfolio management and/or multi-brand strategy
Strong decision-making skills and ability to influence others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey concepts to a variety of audiences
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong attention to detail and understanding sense of urgency. Proven track record in establishing priorities.
