We are seeking a Communications Director to lead the function communications at the Northrop Grumman's site in Redondo Beach, Calif., supporting the Space Sector's Strategic Space Division and product lines, the Space Park Center of Excellence, and the El Segundo and Asuza, California sites and providing counsel and support as required to its space-related strategic business units.
The position is responsible for managing a team of approximately 25 employees performing classified and unclassified statement of work in creative services, customer communications, media relations, employee communications, civic affairs and executive communications. The director will develop and implement communications strategies in partnership with division business leaders and sector communications leadership in alignment with company, sector, division and organizational priorities and objectives.
Bachelor's Degree and over 10 years of communications experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years of communications experience
Aerospace and Defense experience
Experience with government public affairs, strategic communication, media relations, public relations, corporate communications, branding, journalism, marketing services or advertising
Experience leading a team of communications professionals
Project management experience
Must have an active DoD secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain clearance for special compartmentalized information (SCI).
U.S. Citizenship is required
Master's degree in Marketing or Communications
Space industry experience
Knowledge of Northrop Grumman products and services
