Description:
The Digital Experience Engineering team is responsible for building the systems that support our Device Protection customer interactions in the digital channels, including web and communications. We focus on providing a great and efficient user experience, helping our customers get back up and running when things have gone wrong.

Throughout the 10-week, 40hr/week internship, the Intern will work with industry professionals and will receive training/guidance from these professionals on a weekly basis. This is a intern-to-hire experience, those individuals who perform well through the internship will have the opportunity for full-time employment once the intern graduates.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about building great software product, quick learner, hardworking, attention to details, and a good team player, in addition to the requirements listed below.

Requirements:
Rising Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 graduates with BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required
Strong attention to detail and ability to focus
Proactive attitude
Enthusiasm for problem solving
Enthusiasm for learning
Enthusiasm for collaborating with others
Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide deliverables in time sensitive projects
Familiarity with one or more programming languages i.e. Java/Python/PHP
Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, HTML

Nice to have:
Experience building web applications
Experience integrating with web services (publishing or consuming)
Experience with technical design (class diagrams)
Exposure to database technologies (SQL or no-SQL)
Exposure to cloud computing technologies like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure
Understanding of requirements analysis, documentation, and data process flows
Project management or development lifecycle skills

Preferred Majors:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics

Responsibilities:
The Digital Experience Engineering Software Engineering Intern will collaborate with our cross functional team composed of Product Managers, UX designers, developers, and quality automation engineers to build features and enhancements for our product
Contribute to UX and technical designs
Contribute Typescript and React code for our User Interface
Contribute Scala and NodeJS code for our web service layer
Contribute to our continuous deployment and integration pipeline
Contribute unit tests with Jasmine and/or Specs2
Contribute functional (E2E) tests with Gherkin / Webdriver.js / Selenium
