The Center for Teaching and Learning at Brandeis University is seeking to hire an Associate Director who will support the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), foster a culture of reflective teaching and assessment, and successfully obtain and administer external grants to support faculty development. The person in this role will report to the Executive Director, and work with the Center’s other staff.
Develop and deliver professional development programs and consultations on equity-minded instruction, high-impact practices and course/curricular design across disciplines, tailored to members of the Brandeis teaching community.
Assess the impact of the Center for Teaching and Learning, track activities and impact over time, provide statistical analysis, and contribute to the annual report.
Support and collaborate with Brandeis faculty to produce SoTL publications, providing statistical analysis help as needed.
Foster a culture of reflective teaching with an emphasis on assessing students' learning, helping faculty to measure their students' progress toward achieving required Brandeis student learning outcomes.
Seek external grant opportunities that support faculty development and student success; manage and assess grants projects.
Ph.D. or terminal degree in an academic discipline
3-5 years of experience in professional development.
Experience in classroom teaching or professional development program delivery at post-secondary level.
Statistical analysis expertise, and experience with SPSS, SASS, Excel, Qualtrics.
Record of publication in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning; Success in seeking, receiving and managing external grants funds for faculty development.
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
