JOB SUMMARY

As a key contributor to the Solutions Engineering organization, the Senior Controls Engineer will assist in leading the electrical engineering team while bringing structure and consistency to processes, executing product roadmaps and improving product quality.

The Senior Controls Engineer will work closely with engineering management to create cross-functional and innovative solutions that enhance our PharmASSIST Solutions line of products and services. As a senior member of the engineering team, the Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for maintaining departmental schedules, providing weekly departmental status reports, and overseeing multiple simultaneous electrical engineering projects.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar field) and 7+ years of experience including design, implementation, and management.

A successful Senior Controls Engineer will contribute to the success of the electrical engineering organization and for the electrical portions of Innovation’s PharmASSIST product line.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Resource Management

· Provide leadership to internal and external electrical engineering resources.

· Assist in growing the Electrical Engineering team both in size and experience.

· Provide mentorship to electrical engineering staff, aligning their personal goals with the goals of the company.

· Other duties as assigned

Product Management

· Oversee the electrical aspects of design, prototyping, and implementation of electrical, controls, and PLC systems for assigned projects.

· Develop, execute, and maintain development and quality control protocols for assigned projects.

Project Management

· Manage electrical engineering projects including scheduling, resource allocation, reporting, risk mitigation, and budgeting for assigned projects.

· Provide status reports to management both regularly and on-demand.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field.

· 7+ years of practical experiencing including design, implementation, and management.

· Knowledge of electrical engineering practices.

WORK SCHEDULE & REQUIRED AVAILABILITY

Works as a member of the Solutions Engineering team, which includes Information Technology, Technical Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering.

· Work Hours: M – F 8 am – 5pm, 1-hour lunch

· Overtime: As needed

· Travel: Local (Occasional), Extended (Limited)

· On-Call Support: On Call

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities but will instruct and oversee other members of the team. Supervisory responsibilities may increase over time.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to reach, sit, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, communicate bi-directionally, and perform repetitive motions.

· Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

· Must maintain a legal status of employment

· May be required to complete and maintain a background check

· Will be required to maintain specific training provided by the company or customer, such as HIPAA training, Security Training, etc.

ENVIORNMENTAL CONDITIONS

· None: There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions (such as in a typical office or administrative work).
