Prepare, cook and present food according to hotel standard recipes to create quality food products.

Prior experience in the preparation of food items, including previous line cook experience is required.

Summary Of Essential Job Functions

Ensure food is prepared and cooked according to hotel standards-including proper receiving, storage (including temperature-setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with health department regulations.

  • Adhere to control procedures for cost and quality.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Abilities Required

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

Can communicate well with guests.

Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes and proper preparation.

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
