ORKIN, the Industry Leader in Pest Control, is looking for an experienced multi-unit Sales Manager to provide leadership for our Midwest Commercial Region.

The Region Sales Manager will motivate and coach the sales team to achieve region sales goals.

What does a Region Sales Manager do?

  • Manages sales activity and implements the organization’s overall sales strategy for 5 branches within the Midwest Commercial Region
  • Provides strategic focus and planning to business develop and business retention
  • Monitors performance of sales teams and branches and re-allocates resources to improve overall results
  • Manages, coaches and supports sales representatives in the region
  • Meets and exceeds sales targets though continuous growth of new accounts
  • Coaches branch managers and sales staff on sales techniques, procedures and standards to help achieve sales targets
  • Identifies deficiencies, implements performance improvement plans and oversees progress
  • Works closely with the division leadership team to ensure sales growth and the success of the branches
  • Participates in recruitment, selection and the training of sales staff within the region
  • Performs field evaluations
  • Ensures implementation of company programs, initiatives and operational guidelines
  • Participates in manager meetings and training programs
  • Monitors regulatory compliance with state and federal agencies

The successful candidate…

  • 5+ years of proven, successful, sales management experience—preferably in a route-oriented, service environment
  • Goal-oriented, results driven, self-motivator, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, motivating and training
  • Recruiting, training and performance management experience
  • Ability to manage a residential and commercial sales force
  • Ability to provide clear and concise feedback, and coaching
  • Proven ability to achieve profitable revenue growth
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with varying levels within the organization including Senior Management, Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Field Sales Team
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
  • Skill in group presentations and meeting management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Position requires frequent travel within the Midwest region
  • 4 Year Bachelor’s degree a plus
