Responsibilities
Your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

Provides maintenance support for all perimeter Vehicle Access Control and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) equipment to include project management and oversight for the Pentagon Reservation.
Develops and implements security policy, providing procedural and operational direction and guidance in the accomplishment of the pentagon physical security program.
Serves as a project manager for the implementation of physical Standards & Criteria.
Reviews and approves the architectural blue prints to ensure adequate security measures are incorporated into the renovation design.
Participates in continuous security analysis and evaluations of existing facilities to recommend improvements and or corrective measures to upgrade security programs.
Conducts vulnerability assessments for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) facilities in the NCR.
Represent the Agency at various executive meetings.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

I have one year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-11) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in:1) applying knowledge of security concepts, principles and practices to perform security reviews and inspections; 2) applying knowledge in conducting surveys to make recommendations involving physical security; 3) applying stat-of-the-art knowledge of security equipment (e.g. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
