Web Developer, Back End Engineer Student Intern - ATAS

The Robotic Systems and Technology Branch is looking for an undergraduate student that can keep up with the fast-paced environment of an Agile development team and start Fall 2018. From a prototype to a full-fledged application, we are looking for someone that can contribute to producing an end-to-end web application for the Petit Institute. With the possibility of the product's user base running in the thousands, the product will need to be rigorously tested for its design decisions and for its code’s quality. This developer should have the knowledge necessary to design and implement algorithms for handling large amounts of data and should have knowledge in full-stack development.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Must have completed CS1331 Object Oriented Programming or equivalent
  • Must have completed CS1332 Data Structures and Algorithms or equivalent
  • Must be proficient in Javascript
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to non-technical personnel
  • Knowledge of Node.js, Mongoose, and Mocha.js frameworks
  • Knowledge of MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Travis, Docker, and Nginx
Hours per Week 10–20 hours per week
