CO-OP, a growing nonprofit organization in Southeastern MA providing quality services to adults with developmental and other disabilities, is seeking dedicated, energetic and caring people to join our Direct Care Staff. CO-OP has 19 residential homes and 4 day programs. Our 24/7 supervised residential programs focus on a person-centered planning approach and working with individuals to create homes adapted to meet individual needs. We provide support in the areas of life skills, social skills, and community integration with an emphasis on pursing personal goals and interests.
The Administrative Assistant shall provide an array of clerical and other support services that help ensure an efficiently run organization and one that promotes a positive public image. Daily functions coordinate and assist with the payroll, human resources, and general office practices. These functions shall be administered in such a way as to generate a positive influence on people with developmental disabilities.
Duties shall be carried out in conformance to the Agency’s purpose and philosophy, and in a manner that recognizes values associated with Life Quality.
Answer telephone; direct calls, use paging system as required.
Pleasantly greet visitors, job applicants, vendors, etc.
Schedules all conference rooms and maintains agency training calendar.
Runs OIG checks for staff and venders.
Assists with ADP Payroll back up as needed.
Ensures filing and packets are maintained and up to date for human resources.
Assists with application and orientation documentation.
Assists with disciplinary tracking.
Assists with employment references.
Assists with benefit administration (provides staff with benefit reminders, benefit processing, and reconciliations).
Sends out training reminders and attendance sheets
Assist in preparation of envelopes for “bulk” mailings (development, human rights, surveys, etc.).
