Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter is responsible for performing a variety of employment related functions in the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with an outgoing personality, eager to learn and experienced in recruitment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Good interpersonal skills

Good organizational and time management skills including ability to do multiple tasks and handle interruptions.

Must be able to drive and have own transportation to meet with employees at multiple sites on all shifts

Maintain current with any changes/revisions in the laws and/or Human Resources related issues and be willing to attend seminars as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in all aspects of the hiring process, including: advertises for new/vacant positions, screens applicants, conducts interviews, completes reference checks and criminal background checks, makes job offers, schedules pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and TB tests, completes new hire paperwork and forwards all wage and benefit information to the payroll office.

Assists in the administration of employee benefits (including, but not limited to: health, dental, vision, COBRA, life insurance, 403(b) retirement planning, voluntary benefits, workplace wellness strategies, employee benefit fund, employee events)

Works closely with Safety Committee to ensure a safe work environment. Ensures required safety postings and OSHA related documents are completed on a timely basis.

Keeps current, updated personnel files on all employees in compliance with all regulations.

Coordinates employee events including event promotions, gifts, employee discounts/tickets, recognition awards, etc.

Maintains the Health and Wellness Initiatives database, monthly programs, communication with employees through newsletter, etc.

Oversees, monitors and updates job descriptions, performance evaluations and personnel policy handbook.

Follows all employment and labor laws.

Maintains confidentiality of employee records and information.

Commits to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and Concordia policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of resident and employee records and information. Has a duty to report compliance concerns, significant legal risk questions, fraud, abuse, suspected or actual misconduct to a supervisor/manager or to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
