Summary of Position
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious visual designer to oversee creative development for two leading brands in the education space.
The ideal candidate is a perfectionist who likes to see projects through from creative concept to finished artwork. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, our new visual designer will possess a keen sense of ownership in her work, following through on performance of developed assets, when applicable, to continually improve on our visual identity.
Working closely with consumer and corporate sales, this person will oversee and drive the look and feel of our brands. This entails taking personal responsibility for projects in which design is involved, managing projects and holding others accountable, as well. This role requires an individual who is as comfortable working independently (setting deadlines and constantly reassessing priorities), yet also work as a team player to get things done.
Our next visual designer is a person with initiative who proactively presents and escalates ideas, suggestions and problems to ensure outstanding results.
This position reports to the Director of Creative and Content and can be based at our Princeton, NJ headquarters or remote.

Essential Job Functions
Create engaging assets across key channels in the marketing mix (email, social media, display advertising, etc.)
Execute the brand according to the brand guidelines
Develop and execute on brand templates and develop new templates and graphics according the needs of the field
Design across desktop, tablet and mobile
Design user interfaces
Generate concepts and ideas for creative with an appreciation of the brand, audience and environment
Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to achieve organizational goals
Manage vendor relationships (Dropbox, etc.)
Manage Brand hubs for both brands, including image updates and template updates and communicate any changes to the field
Additional job responsibilities and projects as assigned by supervisor
Key Attributes and Experience
5+ years in a similar role
Strong understanding design best practices, as well as the importance of the visual brand identity
Proficient in Adobe CS (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
Experienced in branding and executing brand guidelines
Have an understanding of branding and marketing channels
Passionate about design with a great aesthetic
Strong written and verbal communication and comfortable sharing input on both copy and design
Open to feedback from other designers and the broader marketing team
Strong time management and project planning skills and the ability to work independently
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop collaborative working relationships
