Part-time Mail Clerk—Seattle, WA

Job overview: We are seeking a dependable teammate to process mail and provide mailroom customer service. This shift is M-F, 10:30AM—2:30PM in downtown Seattle. We give preference to job-seekers with a disability who qualify for the AbilityOne program.

Wages & Benefits:
Wages start at $15.00/hour depending on experience
Benefits include medical, dental, 403b retirement plan, and life insurance for employees who work more than 100 hours per month
Paid time off, paid sick days, and paid holidays

Perform mailroom duties including processing and distribution of sensitive and confidential mail
Provide administrative assistance including producing documents like letters, forms, and reports
Maintain office equipment, supplies and supply inventory
Edit and format written or electronic drafts with focus on grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Perform courier duties including transportation of mail and packages
Delivers mail to/from post office and governmental agencies

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Familiar with office, mailroom, and warehouse terminology and practices
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work independently or with little supervision
Able to multi-task
Able to obtain and maintain security clearances including IRS, GSA and USACE
Able to maintain confidentiality and provide quality customer service
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
Able to travel to offsite locations and sit for extended periods of time with moderate noise level
Pass a criminal background check and drug test at any time during employment
