We seek a supervisor (tips included) for our coffee shops in the hospital lobby. A successful supervisor cares for the staff, customers, and facilities while working closely with the manager to maintain the excellence our staff and customers deserve. The Coffee Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a high standard of product quality, and leading a team of baristas and other staff. The supervisor will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment, managing inventory, and ensuring the shop meets its financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support baristas and other staff members, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Train new employees on coffee shop procedures, customer service standards, and product knowledge.
- Address any performance issues and provide constructive feedback.
- Support manager in following policies and procedures
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
- Aide recruitment and training of new employees
- Assist in the employee assessment process
- Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
- Shift till count and deposit in safe
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts)
Customer Service:
- Ensure customers receive excellent service by addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the coffee shop's brand and values.

- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and balancing the register.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including the counter, seating area, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist Managers in placing orders for supplies as needed, managing costs, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met consistently.
