CET is looking for an Events and Outreach Specialist for programs designed to improve the energy efficiency performance and decarbonization of commercial and industrial facilities. In this entry level role, you will develop your skills in lead generation through cold-calling and networking to make a meaningful difference in CET's important environmental mission. This position will provide outreach, education and technical assistance throughout the sales process, traveling to CT, MA, and RI for events as needed. Job Responsibilities include:
- Serves as a Brand Ambassador for CET at events.
- Provides account management for CET’s existing customer base.
- Travels as needed within assigned region for site visits and events.
- Applies knowledge and experience of assigned program(s) to identify leads and manage prospects. Using a sales-driven approach with a well-crafted delivery, explains CET’s mission and the waste management and reduction opportunities for customers.
- Establishes rapport and provides customer service over the phone or in person. Synthesizes complex concepts into a simple, easy to understand language, while conveying CET’s principles and values to customers.
- Effectively communicates with clients to secure agreement on CET deliverables, share project pipelines and ensure a clear and concise delivery of messages. Ensures deliverables and client requests are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintains active and ongoing communication with the program operations and management teams. Provides consistent updates in regards to status of projects and deliverables, service failures or customer and client concerns.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position. What You Offer

- Ideally, you are bilingual in English and Spanish.
- You have food service, retail, or customer service and/or sales experience. One years’ of work experience in non-profit, environmental/sustainability preferred. Knowledge of heat pumps is a plus. Excellence in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or other CRM platform preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required. You must have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- You must be able to work with multiple programs and deliverables in a collaborative environment.
- You must have high speed internet access and a working location free from distractions and interference during 8:30-5:00 business hours. CET will provide a laptop and other office technology.
- You must have a driver's license, a good driving record, and access to an insured vehicle for events.
