Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of program management experience leading software development projects involving multiple teams/stakeholders.
Experience working in a startup environment.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience launching Android and iOS applications and large scale backend services.
Experience as a practicing engineer and/or software engineer utilizing scripting languages.
Proven ability to scale and navigate large, distributed organizations.
Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager on the YouTube Main App team, you lead a variety of lead complex, engineering projects. Projects range from new feature launches aimed at improving the user experience to platform optimization projects that scale YouTube's infrastructure. You are responsible for projects across mobile and web platforms including and the iOS and Android Apps.

Facilitate and manage technical projects and drive them to launch.
Work closely with the Engineering team, other Program Managers, User Experience, and cross-functional partners to define requirements, scope, schedule, resourcing, milestones/tasks.
Manage client releases with fixed deadlines and manage tasks.
Facilitate team discussions, drive issues to resolution, help identify risk mitigations.
Ensure launch readiness, coordinate testing, rollout, post-launch monitoring.
