Location: South Hackensack, NJ

Salary: DOE +Full Benefits

Hours: Monday-Friday between the hours of 7AM and 5PM

Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Description

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to add to their team. You will be responsible for improving workforce productivity and work quality through effective planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools and equipment. If you have a strong facilities/manufacturing equipment background with the understanding of how things work and a take-charge initiative, you’ll excel in this role.

Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Responsibilities

  • Receive and review all non-emergency work orders
  • Review and screen work requests for completeness and authorization
  • Determine scope and most effective and efficient method for completing the work order
  • Identify and obtain materials required for the work order
  • Ensure safety needs are top priority in work planning and scheduling
  • Review, plan and schedule all recurring Preventative Maintenance
  • Develop an integrated maintenance work schedule for the maintenance department
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to properly prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation
  • Ensure completed work orders are filled out completely by Maintenance Technicians and authorized contractor representatives
  • Perform post job reviews to ensure actual work performed and post maintenance testing was adequate

Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume maintenance environment required
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems required
  • Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures required
  • Strong understanding of skilled crafts such as HVAC, electricity and electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing and pipe fitting, etc. required
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic diagrams required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
