Description:
Candidate will be responsible for the operations and support of server/infrastructure environments at both AWS and on-premise data centers.
Candidate will have a broad knowledge of Microsoft, VMWare and AWS technologies
This individual performs all tasks associated with supporting storage, virtualization, and server systems including standardization, software distribution, break/fix troubleshooting, patching, and inventory management.
Create and implement standards and best practices for AWS cloud infrastructure
Create cloud migration paths to AWS for existing systems at data centers
Contribute to discussions with software developers to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability
Assist with designing, deploying, and managing automations for our cloud-based systems
Configure and manage system monitoring for our data center and cloud environments
Deploy patches to servers (Windows, Linux)
Work with DBA team to provide support for Oracle and MSSQL systems
Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within IT operations
Provision storage and present LUN's to servers in AWS (Zadara) and on-premise data center (HPE 3par)
Create backup policies, monitor backups, and create backups for servers, and understand RPO and RTO with relation to disaster recovery
Candidate needs experience racking physical hardware, bringing that hardware up, joining to domain, and administering Managed data center - Candidate needs experience administering applications hosted at a data center managed by a company. That company manages the physical hardware. All other operations type duties are managed by the candidate.
AWS - Candidate needs to be able to create EC2 instances, networking, and storage at AWS. This includes management of those instances like joining to domain, routers, monitoring for load, etc.
Applications hosted are built in house by our development staff. The candidate will assist that development staff with troubleshooting production issues

Responsibilities:
Minimum 5 years Windows Server experience in an enterprise environment (Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016)
Strong working knowledge of Linux systems
Minimum 1 year experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, VPC, ELB, auto scaling, IAM)
Minimum 3 years experience VMware 5.x, 6.x
Minimum 3 years experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with scripting tools/languages for automation and configuration management (PowerShell, VBScript, Python, Terraform, CloudFormation)
Systems, performance, and application monitoring (AWS CloudWatch, Manage Engine Application Manager)
