The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting Americas Finance and Information Technology functions. Additionally, this role will support special projects and mergers & acquisition activities across our Americas organization.
Provide human resources leadership and business partnership for Americas functional leaders.
Lead engagement and positive employee relations initiatives for local and regional teams with the objective to foster positive attitude toward company goals
Support and suggest improvements to site HR practices to improve engagement, morale, productivity, and business metrics.
Partner with functional leaders to establish employee communication strategy and tactics.
Serve as a key point of contact for leadership and employee questions and guidance regarding a variety of HR processes, including employee relations, orientation, benefits, terminations, promotions, HR programs/policies, etc.
Be a visible presence to employees in Glen Mills to ensure you are obtaining an active pulse of current issues that drive employee engagement and positive employee morale.
Provide guidance to management in areas of change management, compensation, and performance management. Establish relationships built on trust to provide sound coaching and counsel to managers to enable their successful achievement of objectives.
Coach in a way that enables capability improvement of managers leading to their improved ability to handle increasingly complex HR issues.
Focus on delivering results through making the best use of HR capability, resources, tools, and process.
Will lead various HR projects in support of key goals and objectives.
Support M&A initiatives in North America on a tactical basis. Complete assigned due diligence activities, acquisition activities, and post-acquisition as necessary.
Strong project management skills including the ability to lead a project from scoping, timeline creation, and implementation of HR projects and initiatives. Ability to facilitates regular HR project meetings and communicates frequently with the HR teams to ensure that project milestones and deliverables are aligned.
Establishes, cultivates and maintains ongoing relationships within HR, the project team, and key business leaders and ensures a clear understanding of the operational objectives relative to the project
Documents lessons learned at project conclusion.

Talent Acquisition Duties:
Provide support for talent acquisition including candidate care, screening, scheduling, travel, and more. Be a resource to recruiting managers. Create an outstanding candidate experience.
Provide support to TA Director for University relations.
Executive the Axalta Internship program for the Americas population under the direction of the TA Director.
Talent Development Duties:
Build Axalta’s organizational capability through organization assessment, development of talent pipeline, and management of strategic staffing initiatives.
Executive talent development initiatives in North America including emerging leaders programs, succession planning coordination, vendor relationships, etc.
Facilitate development or training courses from occasionally.
Support selection of talent and coordinate participation in talent development initiatives and activities.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of experience working in a Human Resources business partner/generalist.
Strong business acumen.
Strong facilitation skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Practical working knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs.
Strong experience handling a wide variety of employee relations situations.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and foster positive working relationships, & high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Travel up to 20%. Primary work location will be in Glen Mills, PA. However, will work as needed in the Philadelphia HQ (~3x per month) and travel to various Axalta work locations when working on M&A and special projects as needed.
