General Description: Government Relations Specialist
The Government Relations Specialist is an integral part of the Foxconn team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the implementation of government relations’ strategies, facilitating Association legal deliverables and providing a support role in active skilled labor initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
Support the development, execution and management of policy, advocacy and outreach strategies
Track industry policy issues, trends and updates through monitoring traditional media, social media and blogs
Monitor and summarize news and journal articles for industry trends
Provide research for development of persuasive analytic materials, visual guides and reports to be used by members, executive staff and other key stakeholders (legislative issue and active skilled labor initiatives)
Assist with tracking and managing projects involving external legal counsel
Review, edit updates and facilitate execution for routine contracts and agreements
Coordinate and implement processes relating to member conduct issues
Establish project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
Track and report on status of projects
Maintain and organize department files
Coordinate meetings with appropriate participants
Ensure distribution of relevant materials in advance of and after meetings
Provide other hands-on support as needed
Knowledge Skills and Attributes (but not limited to):
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, develop a solution, collecting data, establishing facts, and draw to valid conclusions in a timely manner
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Strategic thinker with strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to strategize with management to improve methods and processes
Strong research, organization and analytical skills
Demonstrate a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, common sense, sound judgment and self-confidence
Adaptability to frequently changing work environment
Ability to plan and run multiple high-level projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
Excellent attention to detail when drafting and proofreading documents, contracts, conducting research, etc.

Presents oneself in a professional manner at all times, acting as a representative of the Association and serves as a role model to the staff

International experience and/or global exposure
Ability to work well with others by exhibiting professionalism and good interpersonal skills
Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as necessary to complete assignments
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in public affairs, communications, or relevant field
3-5 years relevant work experience
1-3 years policy or legislative experience. Recent graduates with internships in related area will be considered
Multilingual (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, German, etc.) is a plus
