Finance Sr Manager – USBO (US Business Operations) Consolidation Finance will lead the US Gross-to-Net forecasting and analysis process. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of USBO Consolidation Finance and supervise and guide 2 direct reports.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the cross-functional LEDR (Latest Estimate of Discount Rates) process and activities to compile and analyze gross-to-net sales adjustments for the US product sales of Amgen. Culmination of process is attainment of Executive approval via formal presentation to the designated executives of USBO Finance, Strategic Pricing & Contracting, and Accounting.
Drive end-to-end quarterly LEDR activities and deliverables and ensure adherence to timelines to support month-end closing and quarterly forecasts
Analyze, consolidate and communicate impact of LEDR outputs and variances to Finance stakeholders
Manage and certify operating effectiveness of SOX controls by ensuring proper documentation of the control evidences by cross-functional control owners
Validate periodic journal entries and true-ups stemming from and associated with LEDR estimates
Interface with Global Commercial Operations Consolidation group for proper application of LEDR in evaluation and metrics
Business Owner for LEDR system of record, TM1. Evaluate and approve periodic system changes
Forecast, accrue and true-up wholesaler distribution fees (WDA) and price increase adjustments
Conduct ad-hoc analyses related to US product sales gross-to-net forecast and actuals
Facilitate and guide corroboration with internal and external auditors for LEDR process

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Finance experience


Master’s degree and 6 years of Finance experience


Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Finance experience


Associate’s degree and 10 years of Finance experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Finance experience

Certified Public Accountant
Bachelor’s degree
Solid and demonstrated ability to perform complex financial modeling and to present the output to senior management effectively and efficiently
Ability to make decisions based on analysis and recommendations to senior management
Excellent understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting theories and industry practices in revenue recognition, gross-to-net accounting
Understanding of biopharma gross-to-net elements and business/governmental dynamics behind them
Ability to improve and mange compliance with SOX requirements with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and work under minimum supervision
Background in providing leadership and key support on multiple projects
The ability to manage & lead cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical/math skills & critical thinking
Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Prior experience with TM-1 & SAP
