SW Funk Industrial is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpenter Foreman to join our team in Newport News, VA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading carpentry crews and delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily activities of carpentry crews
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety regulations
- Interpret drawings and specifications
- Order materials and supplies
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of carpenters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Carpenter Foreman
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Experience with interior finishes, masonry, concrete, and other carpentry skills
