Position Summary:
The Senior Logistics Lead will require extensive background and experience with handling and resolving requests for engineering support services (Technical Referrals) from Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and NAVSUP-WSS while being able to provide guidance and leadership to a group of individuals who are resolving similar Technical Referrals. This will require personal contact with NSWCPD Code 315 leads, engineers, and subject matter experts on a regular basis. This individual will be required to track, maintain, and distribute workload equally among the group and be able to maintain a continued level of expected support in a prescribed timeframe. This position will be located in Philadelphia, PA.

Contract Requirements:
Must have a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Act as a Liaison between the program and NSWCPD Code 315 Technical Referral team for all elevated or emergent issues.
Develop and modify policies for resolving Technical Referrals as directed by NSWCPD.
Plan, coordinate, manage and evaluate logistics and engineering actions required to support the mission, weapon system or program
Identify the specific requirements for the client in terms of money, material, facilities and services needed to provide technical resolution of support issues
Correlating specific requirements with available resources to ensure needed decisions are provided at the right time and place
Represent customer in various NSWCPD divisions, branches, and work spaces to facilitate timely responses to accepted workloads
Assist in the development of strategies and proposals to improve turn-around-times and quality of engineer responses to technical referrals
Navy technical background or DLA supporting Nav
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in DoD logistics and engineering or technical support
Must be familiar with supply support data elements, e.g. Acquisition Method Codes, etc.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of ALRE a plus.
Knowledge of program planning, funding, and management information systems.
Knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing engineering support.
Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
Ability to develop, revise, or update processes to facilitate engineering responses.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software.
Understanding of general project management terms, standards, and processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
High comfort level working with and around all military/organizational levels, clients, customers, suppliers, and visitors.
Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole.
Must be highly reliable and capable of meeting work schedule consistently.
Ability to handle a high volume of work with accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Strong decision making ability and attention to detail.

Physical Demands and Expectations:
Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required
Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance
Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office related equipment
