Duties

      The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted position is to supervise the squadron/flight Prime BEEF and Mobility programs, which includes unit civil engineering (CE), and Fire Protection. Incumbent of this position will perform the following duties.

      Responsibilities
      • Assist in the development of requirements and management of the Prime Beef Program Management and Mobility Programs.
      • Collects and analyzes all data for the management of unit Prime BEEF and mobility equipment supplies and equipment.
      • Develops and manages operating budget/financial plan requirements.
      • Manages all aspects of training projects with base activities.
      • Develops and managers squadron/flight mobility and deployment plans to meet worldwide contingencies.
      • Manages all aspects of the current Contingency Operation and Management Personnel Execution System (COMPES) listing and coordinates with deployment officer, and review taskings.
      • Plans and organizes all administrative activities and processes for the organization.

      Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

      Qualifications You must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 or qualifying pay band under other pay systems in the Federal service performing which has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as shown below required to successfully perform the duties of this position. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): (1) Knowledge of Civil Engineering policies, practices, and procedures for construction, maintenance, and operation or real estate, facilities, systems and equipment. (2) Knowledge of supply procedures, directives and policies including interpretation and application to maintenance and production control. (3) Knowledge of management information systems, including automated data processing and readiness/contingency planning, training and operations. (4) Ability to plan and organize readiness and contingency activities. (5) Ability to manage work collation and development, preparation, justification, and execution of CE work plans.

      PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

      VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

      FOREIGN EDUCATION : Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.       Additional information Individuals on active duty may apply 120 days before separation date and should indicate in their application their military separation date. Individuals with more than 120 days before separation date must submit with their application a letter, signed by their commanding officer, stating the individual will be released from active duty (Palace Chase) if they obtain an ART position. Reservists who are mobilized may submit a copy of their mobilization orders or a statement in their application stating they are available within 120 days.
