Full Job Description
The Corporate Pricing Manager must have extensive experience developing and managing cost/price proposals for the U.S. Government contract solicitations while acting in an independent capacity to achieve corporate business objectives. This position will report to the Director of Corporate Cost and Pricing with Caliburn International.
LOCATION: Reston, VA.
Broad responsibility and management for overall pricing activities for four legacy companies now collectively owned by Caliburn. Duties includes executing strategic pricing concepts, modeling and narratives related to bids and proposals; overseeing the estimating and pricing activities for proposals and changes; evaluating risks and opportunities in cost estimates, etc.
Manage assigned staff and cross-functional teams for planning, organization, writing, editing and production of a cohesive proposal with appropriate disclosures, explanatory responses and supporting data to justify adequacy, realism, reasonableness and audit validation.
Develop proposal pricing to include: proposal planning and establishment of proposal schedule; compile, review and analyze cost data; contact vendors, subcontractors, prime contractors and Caliburn personnel to collect price and cost data for proposals; generate price submissions including proposal narratives; and, document pricing processes and decision making for each proposal.
Interface with Operations, Business Development and functional support groups to obtain/develop data necessary for developing prices or other components in support of competitive analysis.
Analyze subcontractor pricing submissions.
Review compliance with customer requirements (FAR, DFARS).
Effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, Economics or closely related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
In-depth understanding of Government acquisition policies, regulations and proposal compliance requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of pricing and estimating techniques with expertise in business management, cost/risk modeling and government contracts.
Experience with pricing various Federal contract and grant types.
Experience with managing or leading teams successfully.
Knowledge of FAR, including FAR Parts 12 and 15 and agency supplements, estimating systems, and cost accounting standards.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
Self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to function independently, meet deadlines and achieve commitments.
Demonstrated flexible approach to work, an understanding of working collaboratively on a team, and the willingness to be an active and supportive member of a cross-functional team.
Some limited travel may be required.
Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance which requires US citizenship.
