General Summary of Position:
The individual in this position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Division Chief and providers in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Division of Podiatric Surgery at MWHC. Answers phones, registers patients, schedules appointments, posts surgical procedures, coordinates insurance, addresses the needs of the provider’s patients and their families. Manages provider calendars, coordinates resident correspondences and meetings, and assists with the provider’s academic activities within the Division of Podiatric Surgery. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Health’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
AA degree required, BS/BA preferred.
Three years of progressively responsible office experience.
Excellent oral communication, writing, organizational skills and abilities.
Extensive knowledge of computer software and hardware including packages for word processing, database, desktop publishing, statistical programs, and communications.
