We are offering a great opportunity to qualified Field Inspectors/Testers with proven construction engineering experience for government and private contracts to perform field construction materials testing and field observations both in Phoenix and Statewide. This will include examining and documenting the workmanship of on-going and finished projects for conformity to plans and standards and recommends approval for installation to supervisors.

Position Requirements:

  • Performs field sampling and field testing of construction materials incorporated into projects
  • Identifies any deviations from specified construction procedures and notifies direct supervisor
  • Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities
  • Prepares sketches of construction installations; performs calculations of areas and volumes
  • Utilizes computer and typing skills to complete required documentation and other duties as assigned
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Required ACI or ATTI Certifications, or ability to obtain certifications within 3 months of hire
  • GED or HS Diploma and related engineering experience. * ADOT experience preferred, but not required.

Work Environment:

May be subject to the following conditions/physical requirements dependent upon area of assignment: Adverse weather conditions, lifting in excess of 75 pounds, extended walking over rough terrain, climbing over 10 feet, exposure to hazardous materials, continuous loud noises, strenuous physical activity and/or proximity to large construction equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position primarily in Arizona, with daytime or nighttime hours depending work assignment and project. Travel away from home base may be required.
