Assisting with development, promotion and outreach activities for the National Asthma Public Policy Agenda.
Developing a project and publication timeline
Conduct literature review on asthma as it relates to healthcare systems, financing, public health infrastructure, outdoor air, homes, schools and workplaces
Assist with draft an article for publication
Prepare background materials, appendices and assist with fact checking
Creating and updating content for the American Lung Association’s public website and intranet.
Performing other duties as assigned, including some administrative tasks.
TYPE OF INTERNSHIP
This is a paid internship position requiring a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per week (during normal business hours) for 16 weeks.
Base Pay: $15.00/hour
Graduate students with policy research experience preferred.
Qualified candidates should possess skills in policy and document research, strong writing skills, attention to detail, and have a keen interest in the mission of the American Lung Association.
Ability to multitask, perform in a team environment, and a demonstrated willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently.
Computer Proficiency – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
An interest in or knowledge of asthma and public health policy is desirable.
