As the Group Program Manager for Data and Intelligence you will help set our team roadmap and execution strategy, while leading a dynamic group of growth-minded PMs focused on
Working closely with gaming partners, data science and engineering to
Define and manage operational process that can be leveraged across gaming (developers, titles, services, and hardware), and assist DIG to
Establish core business measurements for Gaming products
Develop extensible data science infrastructure to create and maintain data and modeling assets
Managing experimentation efforts across all MS gaming surfaces
Managing partner communications and relationships, including requirements gathering, defining schedule, managing expectation with partners and drive executions
In addition, you will establish a collaborative relationship with all our partners, from across disciplines, including user, research, engineering, business and data science.
This role will require you to use a suite of skills across multiple functions—analytics, program management, business, and game design. They will help you facilitate buy-in and adoption of the modern analytics, machine learning techniques, and best practices implementation on their behalf. These same skills are needed to translate requirements between Data Science, engineering and product teams, minimizing assumptions across partners and driving clarity.
Help bring data to the core of product development through a deep understanding of what is possible when taking advantage of the flow of data
10+ years of successfully managing complex cross-divisional and engineering programs spanning multiple disciplines
8+ years of experience effectively communicating to executives and demonstrating impact and visibility at senior leadership level
Credible prior experience with business intelligence and/or data science organizations
Ability to influence senior leadership across organizations and get consensus via combination of leadership impact and team collaboration
Strong people management skills with ability to attract, retain and mentor world class talent
Understanding of SQL
Competencies & Capabilities:
Excellent grasp of statistical fundamentals and analytical skills
Collaboration in order to influence & drive impact
Adaptable to meet dynamic goals in a very agile team
MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or similar field or equivalent technical knowledge
Games industry or game development experience is a plus
Completed some form of Data Science training
Familiarity with Azure tools and technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive/Pig, Spark)
