The Corporate Fitness Center Coordinator will be assist with opening and oversight of the day-to-day operations of Oxy’s new 90,000 square foot world class fitness center in conjunction with the selected operations vendor and the Oxy wellness team. This position will work in coordination on other projects as assigned by management, and the position will be based in Houston, Texas.
In partnership with the OxyHealth team and relevant stakeholders, help to develop, organize, and implement wellness programs, events and communications for Oxy employees and eligible spouses that support Oxy’s strategic wellness, health and safety objectives.
Provide excellent customer service to fitness center members (employees, spouses and retirees) and provide requested information, assistance and support in using the fitness center and other OxyHealth programs.
Coordinate OxyHealth wellness events including onsite management, setup, takedown, cleanup and managing vendors and suppliers.
Assist with scheduling, coordination and execution of campaigns and events, both virtual and in-person, at the fitness center as well as at other Oxy locations.
Help to develop creative and engaging marketing materials and communications to promote programs, challenges, and events that maximize engagement.
Assist with Oxy’s as well as vendor’s internal websites and/or apps inclusive of communicating upcoming events/activities and launch of programs.
Assist with tracking departmental coordinators budget’s and costs as well as participation metrics.
Generate reports that produce quantifiable data to analyze and measure program success.
Be a point of contact for OxyHealth Wellness Coordinators to answer calls and emails, direct them to needed resources, train them on tools and apps as necessary, etc.
Help to monitor general email inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Code invoices from external vendors to route through appropriate approval process and submit for payment to accounts payable.
Assist with maintaining the OxyFitness calendars and local vendor contact lists.
Assist with managing the OxyHealth inventory of incentives/giveaways.
Bachelor’s degree in related field (marketing/design, health education or health promotion).
3+ years of experience with corporate wellness program design and implementation, related administrative tasks, and supporting manager-level in a similar working environment.
Demonstrated customer service excellence.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to manage priorities and exhibit flexibility when work assignments or objectives change.
Client-centered focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with initiative and drive for results.
Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting and collaborating with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong communication skills including writing and editing abilities.
Demonstrated level of proficiency in Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), InDesign, Microsoft Photoshop and/or other graphic design programs
Dependable and ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
Some travel, as required.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Marketing and graphic design experience highly preferred
Corporate event planning experience highly preferred
Strong knowledge of the health, wellness and fitness industry
Results-oriented as well as creative
