- Perform basic math calculations to accurately handle cash, operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, and process transactions.
- Demonstrate products and services to customers, highlighting their benefits and features.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services to effectively communicate their value to customers.
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant products to customers, meeting sales targets and contributing to store revenue.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, provide support, and maintain a positive and inclusive store culture.
Experience:
- Previous retail sales experience is essential, preferably in a grocery store setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Basic math skills are necessary to accurately handle cash and operate the POS system.
- Experience with customer service and sales techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets is necessary.
