Legends at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway serves race fans during the largest single day sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500. In order to deliver the necessary merchandise selection and services, Legends operates 70 Gift Shops on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the INDYCAR Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, The Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational, the 400 at the Brickyard and the Red Bull Air Race along with other miscellaneous events.

Summary of Team Member Daily Duties:
Play a vital role in the preparation and execution of our gift shops during events
Supervise the sale of merchandise and operations in a section of shops surrounding the track as a Zone Manager
Participate in Event Gift Shop set-up and tear down process
Act as team leader stocking shops, inventorying merchandise and setting merchandise displays
Experience the Gift Shop, Warehouse, ecommerce Department, Retail Buying/Planning Office and Trackside Retail Stores

Skill Development:
Inventory Control
Event Planning

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with Junior level status or higher preferred
Previous Retail/Merchandise experience preferred
Available to work internship from late April/early May thru mid August
Willing to come back and assist with the Brickyard 400 September 6th-8th and the Red Bull Air Race October 19th-20th
Able to work flexible and long hours
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects
Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
Retail, Business and Sports Management majors are preferred but we will consider candidates of all majors
Available to work in outdoor environments on your feet for a sustained period of time
Valid Driver’s License
