Acara Solutions is looking for Stress/Strength Engineer for our client located Centennial, CO -The strength analysis will include finite element analysis and hand calculations of components, small assemblies, and large assemblies. -Finite element analysis will use NASTRAN/FEMAP. -Researches, designs and develops instruments, automation controls, engines, machines, mechanisms, hydraulics, heat transfer, cryogenic and ordnance components and systems that are used in the transmission, measurement and use of energy. -Application of mechanical engineering principles to the planning, design, development and testing of mechanical systems. -Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult engineering/scientific problems. -Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives. -Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. -Failure to achieve expected results would typically result in serious project delays. -Works with minimal direction. -Independently determines and develops approaches to problems. -Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. -Receives guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience with conduct strength analysis for structural design for the launch vehicle upper stage
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Nastran/Femap
