We are looking for clinically-minded consultants who can code! The Clinical AI Consultant works directly with senior management of large healthcare systems to architect AI solutions for our clients’ most pressing problems, focusing on operational bottlenecks, inpatient deterioration, and social determinants of health. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our world class AI Engineers & Data Scientists to help you dive into the “dark matter” of healthcare data and tackle the issues healthcare systems across the US are grappling with today. You will be working alongside our Client Engagement team to set & execute account strategy as it pertains to our AI-enabled solutions.

Our ideal candidate has a breadth of experience in addressing operational and clinical problems using data, informatics, and analytics. You should exhibit strong domain expertise in clinical workflows - inpatient, outpatient, and/or post-acute care, case management, or health plan workflows - especially around clinical documentation (content, structure, and function). You need to be able to think on your feet – especially in front of a crowd. Finally, you need to have a basic fluency in SQL; experience in R or Python is also highly desirable.

This position requires 30% travel to client locations around the US. Candidates in the Dallas area are preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

Work closely with clients (C-suite & senior management) to identify key areas of focus & strategic importance
Identify, prioritize, plan, design, & deliver new and existing AI & analytics solutions that address your clients’ problems
Communicate routinely with our AI Architects & Engineers to ensure alignment of internal operations & roadmaps with business priorities
Forecast critical analytics & AI capabilities needed to ensure the success of our accounts
Participate in early stage sales calls to pitch the value of our AI & analytics solutions and services to potential customers

Required Experience and Education

Education:
Bachelors degree required
Clinical degree (MD, DO, RN, PT, RD, et al.) and training highly preferred

Experience:
at least 2 years working in or with healthcare systems
at least 2 years experience solving problems across a breadth of domains in healthcare. We are particularly interested in experience pertaining to any or all of the following:
Value-based care (e.g. bundled payments, DRGs)
Clinical workflows (e.g. discharge planning, sepsis, care pathways)
Social determinants of health
Readmission risk reduction
Provider networks & leakage
Case management
at least 2 years experience applying methods from informatics, analytics, statistics, and/or data science to problems in healthcare. Specifically, we are looking for:
Experience writing SQL queries
Experience using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Microstrategy, Kibana, or others)
Experience with EHR data models & databases
Experience with common healthcare ontologies & taxonomies, and their applications
Experience with machine learning concepts, methodologies, and outputs
at least 2 years experience with data visualization: designing, planning, creating, & presenting graphs and/or dashboards to create data-driven narratives
at least 1 year experience communicating & presenting information at a C-suite level
at least 1 year experience managing projects or accounts, including:
Developing & executing roadmaps & project plans
Communicating requirements to technical teams
Defining goals & milestones with stakeholders
