The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the organization, quality control, and final delivery of our parking projects within our Mountain View, California office. The successful candidate will have a high attention to quality, have an engineering mindset and be able to work effectively with clients and team members. This individual will primarily work in an office setting and report to an Operations Manager. At times, field work will be required (20% of time) at one of our parking study sites in the Bay Area. It is also intended that this role will progress into Project Management roles within the company.

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator will wear many hats and is responsible for assisting in the organization, quality control, and final delivery of projects in a format that is suitable to the client. This role may interact with clients through partnering with a more senior Project Manager or Operations Manager. This role works with others to maintain schedule and technical control of the project. This role must maintain strong working relationships with temporary workers and other Project Managers throughout the project. This role requires someone who can function well in public settings, represent IDAX in a professional manner and demonstrates the IDAX corporate values in all interactions. This role at times may require out-of-town travel, irregular work hours and/or occasional weekends when needed. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, safety, have a passion for technology and be able to work effectively with clients and team members. Other responsibilities include:

  • Use required software to QC the data collected in the field
  • Schedule and train part-time employees and data collectors
  • Assist in recruiting part-time employees and data collectors by posting ads and interviewing candidates
  • Assisting with data collection in the field as needed
  • Assist in project setup
  • Work with more senior Project Managers and Operations Managers to determine appropriate scope of project (time, materials, labor, etc.)
  • Work in mapping/GIS environments and have excellent navigational awareness.
  • Use Excel and/or Google Sheets to build QC/analysis templates and reports.
  • Do what is needed to complete the required task, while focusing on safety, professionalism, time management and quality.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and demonstrate the IDAX corporate values in all interactions.
  • Lead others to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Required Education & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience using data processing software such as Microsoft Excel
  • Some GIS experience (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, QGIS) a major plus
  • Some field data collection experience a major plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – comfortable leading conversations at all levels of an organization and communicating with clients

Required Qualifications:

  • Desire and willingness to work outdoors, sometimes during inclement weather and at odd hours when needed. Weekend work is common.
  • Ability to travel with short notice to cities within the United States
  • Ability to read maps and navigate to job sites – a strong sense of direction and attention to detail is a must.
  • Great teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • A constant vigilance for safety in order to protect the field crew in various traffic conditions
  • Detail-oriented to deliver client reports without errors
  • Intermediate to expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word - this role will process large amounts of data in Excel to compile reports to be presented to clients. Experience with complex formulas and formatting, as well as understanding of database design.
  • Eager to learn new aspects of job.
  • A good problem solver. Ability to research and find solutions to problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple jobs simultaneously with varying requirements, and schedule/staff those jobs appropriately to meet deadlines.
  • CA driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Must pass background check and be able to qualify for clearance to gain access to secured client sites (no criminal history).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 /hour
