Installation Technicians work in the field to install audio/video recording systems in a professional manner. This includes but is not limited to assisting with running cable throughout building infrastructure, terminating cables, using hand and power tools, and configuring/troubleshooting audio/video equipment. When not in the field, Installation Technicians will assemble, configure, and test equipment racks for upcoming installs. Installation Techs will also have the opportunity to obtain and maintain relevant certifications needed specifically related to the job function.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travels to job sites and assists the lead installer in supporting new installations as well as existing customer accounts
- Gathers and organizes equipment; tracks inventory from a QA standpoint
- Assembling, configuring, and testing equipment needed for installations
- Traveling to federal, state, and local job sites to assist with installation and systems testing

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a vehicle
- Use of a ladder is required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING
Tier 2 AV Installation Technician $21 - $24
1 to 2 years of AV installation experience
Assist foreman on installations
Ability to mount cameras, TV’s, and microphones
Proficient wire management
Can read system drawings/blueprints
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software
Tier 3 AV Installation Foreman $25 - $29
2 to 5 years of AV installation experience
CTS certified
Leads installation and manages team on install site
Ability to manage small to medium construction projects or multiple upgrade projects
Provides client orientation/training on system upon finalization of install
Provides field reporting to HQ as necessary
Ability to accurately complete all necessary installation paperwork in a timely fashion
Ability to make small programming changes within the control system code
Configures IP addresses and other required component settings
Mark corrections/changes on system drawings in the field
Commissioning of installed systems
Tier 4 Senior AV Installation Foreman $30 - $33
Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience
CTS-I and/or CTS-D Certified
Crestron, AMX, Extron, and/or Kramer programming certifications
Biamp and/or QSC certification
CQT and/or CQD certification
BICSI Certifications
Ability to manage large scale construction and upgrade projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
