The Legal Hold Analyst will support the Global Preservation Services’ Legal Hold Solutions team by providing technical consulting and performing core functions for the implementation of Relativity Legal Hold (RLH) and legacy data migration. This role will be responsible for creating workspaces in RLH, and overseeing HR data file integration and testing, mailbox testing for communication protocols, and legal hold data migration for clients migrating from a legacy system to RLH. The Analyst should demonstrate the ability to assess and evaluate client goals and objectives, design recommendations that provide high impact in the short and long term for the team. This is a client facing position which involves understanding a client’s current technology systems, including HR, reporting processes, and email systems, and interfacing with client IT and HR teams to effectively communicate requirements for a successful implementation and data migration.
RLH enables clients to create legal hold communications, assign custodians, and send and track legal hold notices in a seamless process. Users can customize their dashboards to manage projects and generate automated reporting on a scheduled basis. With enterprise system integration, we are able to connect RLH to O365 for preservation holds, and HR systems for daily updates on custodians’ employment status and track changes to ensure defensibility in preservation practices.


Relativity Legal Hold Implementation

  • Partner with Applications Support team to create client RLH workspace, mailbox configuration, and SFTP as required
  • Work closely with the Legal Hold Implementation Manager to set expectations on timelines, budgets, and project scoping
  • Translate client functionality requirements into database and process design
  • Set up Relativity Integration Points with client enterprise HR systems

Legacy Data Migration

  • Consult with client IT and HR teams on export options and expectations
  • Analyze legacy data tables and map to Relativity fields
  • Create load files and test data samples for HR data and legacy data

Legal Hold Team Support

  • Prepare documentation of processes and lessons learned
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and design strategies to drive efficient delivery.
  • Provide support during security audit processes
  • Demonstrate a high level of follow-through and accountability, and ensure that activities are completed in a timely and thorough fashion.
  • Provide a wide range of internal and external reporting and data analytics.


  • BA/BS required
  • 2+ years of Relativity database management experience with strong technical skills
  • Prior experience with Relativity Legal Hold or legal hold processes is a strong plus, but not required
  • Ability to create load files via Relativity Desktop Client or SQL
  • Ability to set up Relativity Integration Points
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into client facing criteria and documentation
  • Familiarity with data export options, including SFTP, and troubleshooting processes
  • Experience with process design
  • Experience with end-user support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly, thoroughly and succinctly communicate complex ideas and workflows
  • Proactive and consultative approach with strong ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing work requirements
  • Ability to rapidly learn new technical skills
  • Experience writing scripts for Relativity and/or SQL is a plus
