We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality across the Automotive organization.
This position offers a mid to high level amount of responsibility include crafting and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
What you’ll be doing:
You will execute daily regression testing on automotive related features.
Identify, record, document, and regress internal and external filed bugs
Help review and provide feedback on product feature requirements, specifications and technical design documents.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Help write test scripts that will be use in the automated test framework harness
What we need to see:
5+ years minimum work experience
QA background; test infrastructure and analysis skills required
Scripting language (Perl, bash) knowledge preferred - able to write logical code from scratch
Experience with Linux and/or QNX required, other embedded OS experience strongly desired - preferably command line and not just GUI desktop usage
Good HW, SW & Operating System fundamentals surrounding the building blocks of PC's & Embedded systems - able to work hands on with hardware
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal - able to independently and clearly communicate issues with other as well as be able to provide feedback and suggest resolutions
Strong Analytical skills with a mindset that questions assumptions; with a willingness to continuously help improve processes and procedures
Ability to work independently with a desire to share knowledge with peers to improve the quality of the team on the whole
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
C/C++ coding at the application level
Familiarity working with embedded hardware and software
PC Graphics and/or multimedia test experience
Strong SQA background with a project lead role
