The Proposal Coordinator position works in the national Proposal Center group in the company's Houston office. The position is an integrated member of the proposal team and works with and supports the Proposal Manager and Proposal Writers in developing winning, compelling and compliant proposals in response to client requests for quotations, requests for proposals and qualifications. This position will be intimately involved in identifying, managing and updating key information that populates and supports proposals and marketing activities.
1. Supports Proposal Writers by identifying and supplying information from existing libraries and databases to support proposal document strategy.
2. Manages information capture, update, and revisions to project, resume, graphics, reference and other data.
3. Works with Proposal Manager and Proposal Writers to edit, proofread, format and produce error-free documents.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Experience reviewing and editing technical proposals, scientific or engineering documents, or marketing materials.
Highly organized, detail oriented and experienced in organizing and managing information.
Able to multi-task, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills oral and written.
Exhibits initiative, positive attitude and motivation.
Able to work independently or as a member of a team on various tasks.
Familiar with storing, updating and moving information in SharePoint.
Familiar with professional service working environment involving response to RFPs and RFQs.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Position may require occasional weekend and /or evening work.
Education and Experience Requirements:
The candidate must possess the following education and experience requirements:
Degree: Bachelor's degree in a business, marketing, journalism, English, science or engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience: minimum of 3 years of experience is supporting proposal and/or marketing activities at a professional services consulting, engineering, or equivalent company is required.
