Forty 1 North, a boutique hotel, restaurant and marina in the heart of the Newport wharf, seeks a Full Time Guest Service Manager to oversee the operation of the Guest Service Agents which includes Front Desk Reception and Reservations Coordination. The Guest Service Manager leads the hospitality team and sets the standards for service excellence.

Guest Service Manager Responsibilities : include but are not limited to:

  • Being the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host within the Property and the local community, special requests, room assignments and guest amenity programs.
  • Managing the Guest Services function in ensuring that staff receive consistent and proper communication (monthly meetings, pre-shifts, verbal, email, memos etc.), .training, mentoring and support.
  • Ability to develop work schedules, adhere to budget and evaluate staff performance.
  • Must work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time, guest requests, visitor inquiries, etc..
  • Previous hotel or customer service management is required..
  • Proficiency with computer skills.
