The Staff Pharmacist with sub-set of duties focused on the role of an Informatics Superuser. Approximately 20 hours a week will be spent divided between the two roles of Pharmacist and Informatics Superuser. As a Clinical Pharmacist, they are responsible for performing operational duties such as, but not limited to, order verification/entry, dispensing, technician oversight, daily quality checks and ensuring daily operations remain intact; decentralized duties such as, but not limited to, renal & pharmacokinetic dosing, IV to PO transitions, antimicrobial stewardship, medication reconciliation, and patient counseling. As an Informatics Superuser, you are responsible for working as a liaison with the IT department to ensure successful maintenance of Meditech’s pharmacy applications and other clinical applications that interface or involve pharmacy. Other duties include: assisting with ongoing training, enhancement testing/implement, barcode software, upkeep of infusing pump libraries, coordinating improvements/maintenance with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (PYXIS). Other requirements are rotating weekends/ holidays and on-call. On-call requires the ability to access the system remotely and to come on site within a reasonable time.
