Acts as a key member of the Chief of Staff organization for the President of Discover Consumer Banking. This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of deliverables across the organizations including driving annual planning, acting as an internal consultant on business-unit specific challenges, leading cross-business unit initiatives, and developing executive-level communications.

Responsibilities

Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis through structured and analytical problem solving to help Consumer Banking drive business results

Develop detailed and structured project plans to support Consumer Banking strategy projects from kickoff to completion

Conduct competitive analysis and market research to help develop product, marketing, or pricing recommendations

Partner with business units to understand customer experience pain points and provide recommendations for improvement

Support the President of Consumer Banking through high-quality executive communications

Participate in regular team problem solving sessions and contribute to the ideation and execution of new ideas across Consumer Banking

Promote a risk-aware culture and ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

Bachelor’s degree required

2+ years of relevant experience, ideally within retail banking or related products and markets

Ability to structure analyses, problem-solve complex issues, and clearly communicate research, insights, and implications to senior management and other stakeholders

Comfort working in an ambiguous and rapidly-changing environment

Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate expectations

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership

Proven ability to interact with executives

Advanced expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software
