The Flight Operations team includes aircraft pilots and pilot support.
Job overview and responsibilities
Participates in the development, implementation and oversight of our pilot application and hiring process and provides support to the Sr. Manger - Pilot Hiring Programs. Prepares the candidate files for the Pilot Selection Board, participates in the Pilot Selection Board and serves as the back-up to the Senior Manager to facilitate Review Boards and Benefits presentations. Works with Staffing Administration to ensure background checks are completed for New Hire pilots as well as pilots returning from long term leaves of absence or furlough. Extends conditional offers of employment and assigns pilots to New Hire classes.
Invites and Monitors United and Career Path candidates to complete Hogan Job Fit Assessments. Maintains AirlineApps and SharePoint documents for all candidate processes
Records Hogan job fit assessments, and inputs Interview and Technical Skills Assessment results in the FilemakerPro Candidate Tracking database. Prepares presentations for the weekly Pilot Selection Boards and assists with presenting pilot hiring demographics and EEO statistics to Sr. Leadership. Extends conditional job offers, sends candidate correspondence and maintains the availability of successful candidates in the new hire pool.
Maintains & Assigns New Hire classes weekly. Coordinates collection and distribution of forms and paperwork for weekly Basic Indoctrination classes.
Corresponds with new hire pool candidates regarding classes, paperwork, signed offer letters, weekly BI Class notifications & instructions. Works with pilot hiring team to streamline office processes and procedures. Designs and implements new databases and continued updates. Provides general support for the Senior Manager - Pilot Hiring Programs, working with forecasting, hotels, background and drug screen teams to fill new hire pilot classes. Assists with pilot recruiting outreach programs as needed. Assists in maintaining SRP’s and automation resources needed for the Pilot Hiring Programs function.
High school diploma, GED or education equivalent
Related field or equivalent work experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organizational ability to prioritize and multi-task
Knowledge of u Source, SharePoint, Outlook, FilemakerPro and AirlineApps
Problem solving and decision making
Strong computer skills in MS Office required, especially Word and Excel
Previous Hiring experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business
Expert knowledge of IPads and IM
Minimum two years of supervisory experience
Flight Operations experience
