The Director has 24 hour clinical and management responsibility for Air Link and the Transfer Center. The Director will utilize theoretical, experiential, and general knowledge of Emergency Medical Services, Air Link patient population, and Transfer Center guidelines when applying human resource management principles, financial management skills, and material management skills. The Director, in conjunction with the Chief Flight Nurse, is responsible for the performance improvement program, the competency based orientation program, and the professional development plan for staff and self. The Director utilizes Regional West Medical Center’s Standards of Behavior when interacting with internal and external customers and actively participates and promotes Service Excellence and regional and hospital leadership activities.
Reports To: Vice President of Patient Services
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field or business is required. The successful completion of the MTLI certification, combined with a strong business and medical background, may be recognized in place of the Bachelor's degree. A Master’s degree in an applicable field is preferred.
LICENSURE: If applicable, current license in the State of Nebraska without Restriction is required, (i.e. Registered Nurse, Paramedic)
EXPERIENCE: Management experience is required. Strong clinical background in Emergency Medical Services required. Flight experience is preferred. Must possess strong business skills, excellent communication skills and understanding and demonstration of customer service concepts.
