Responsibilities include reviewing objective measures of TV product PQ and then working with our ODM partners to help them understand the areas that need improvement. Working with the product team to compare and review subjective vs objective results. Review of EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP stage signoff documents. And to help out with calibrations required for shows and product review. Other tasks include working on methods to improve the PQ measurement process, integration of PQ auto calibration process, EDID review and various other PQ related items that come along.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review of objective reports (ISF, Backlight Uniformity, Off Angle LCD Uniformity, Gray Uniformity (Color Banding).
Review and signoff of EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP stage data and documents.
Work with the ODM on improvement plans for PQ shortcomings. Creating/Updating requirements specifications for improvements.
Requested TV color calibrations to support shows and reviews.
Other ad hoc PQ tasks and duties as assigned.
A minimum education level of: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science or technology.
Years of related work experience: 5-8 years
Working knowledge of color science and the ability to interpret calibration reports. This include familiarity with different color spaces and color models.
Familiarity with PortraitDisplays’ CalMAN tool, ISF reports and TV calibration procedures for SDR and HDR formats.
Works well in a team environment.
