Saint John Vianney Center, a premier behavioral health treatment and education center for clergy and religious seeks a full-time Medical Records Team Leader. This position is multi-faceted with the goal of encouraging daily task and process completion throughout the department. Candidates must be capable of managing projects independently and within a team environment while skillfully handling competing priorities and requests throughout the day. The Medical Records Team Leader is cross-trained to assist with any responsibilities of the Medical Records Coordinators as needed. Supporting the department Director in handling PC troubleshooting, clinical documentation oversight, and participating in on-going quality assurance and performance improvement projects is required. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills in communicating with residents, staff, visitors and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to promote customer satisfaction and encourage great interdepartmental coordination is ideal. Highly organized persons with supervisory experience working within a medical records department or administrative support team in a health care setting are encouraged to apply.

*QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field with one year of experience as a team leader, supervisor or other position providing guidance to staff or daily operation management.
  • Attentive to details, organized, self-starter, clear and positive communicator.
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements related to the management of records containing PHI within health care settings.
  • Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize responsibilities appropriately.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to embrace the team approach and support members as needed.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in meeting staffing needs and managing urgent projects and tasks.
  • Interest the Electronic Health Record implementation and management process.
  • Computer troubleshooting skills, experience working with Microsoft Office applications, common audio-visual equipment and ability to manage teleconferencing and conferencing platforms with training.
