The Human Resources Business Partner-Regional role will provide HR support for the company’s multi-site Insurance Services teams located in Waco, Texas, Jacksonville, Florida, as well as remote. The HRBP will support an organization of approximately 800 employees. This person will provide coaching and counseling for managers and employees to help resolve critical business issues, ensure total workforce HR oversight and will collaborate with other HR leaders and HRBPs to design and implement HR strategies, processes, and initiatives for these organizations. Multi-site support for additional organizations and partnership with other HRBPs is necessary to support cross functional groups as well.
Essential Functions:
Provides front line support for employee and manager needs in a 24x7 multi-site environment.
Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach.
Delivers corporate and business group specific training in support of corporate processes and manager and employee development.
Contributes to the continued harmonization and integration of business processes and transitions across all organizations as well as the Corporate HR organization.
Partners with HR benefits contact center to provide coordinated and consistent HR support.
Responsive to unemployment claims, workers’ compensation and safety situations, requests for metric or other workforce reporting data or metrics, as well as other general inquires for business groups, as assigned.
Manages workforce onboarding programs, provides back up for employee change entries, or other workforce management activities.
Engages in workforce planning and transition/change management activities, implementing strategies that contribute to an efficient work culture.
Responsibilities include employee relations, manager and employee coaching, performance management, annual performance and compensation process delivery, training, policy interpretation, employee communications, facilitation and site HR team support in conjunction with other HRBPs at the site, and leadership of local corporate programs.
Responsible for development and integration of corporate HR programs and trainings to the business groups and may involve site program management as projects and programs arise.
Reporting to senior leadership in the HR Operations team, this person will participate in company-wide HR program design and manage projects on cross-functional and cross-geographic teams.
Provides support for special projects, up to and including change management activities in business partner or other groups, as needed to ensure success.
Responsible for any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have at least 5 years direct experience in high volume employee relations and performance management.
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in successfully developing, delivering and presenting HR programs for managers and employees to large and small groups, as well as virtual teams.
Must have large non-exempt workforce and contact center employee support experience. Mobile and remote workforce experience preferred.
Must have experience with various HR systems and databases to successfully compile workforce reports from these systems.
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system highly desired.
Experience working with remote, multisite employees and managers.
Experience with unemployment claims, workers’ compensation and safety.
Ability to support client and other compliance inquiries as relate to employment and workforce statistics.
Experience working at multiple levels in an organization is required.
Proven experience collaborating with managers and in directing the work of employees.
Strong analytical and problem solving aptitude is required.
Proven experience coaching managers and employees is required.
Excellent communication skills required (listening, consolidation of detailed information, written messaging, etc.).
Strong MS Office skills required, (MS Word, Advanced Excel, Power point and Outlook).
Must have an understanding and continued learning/knowledge of employment laws/multi-state (including California) & federal that affect employees.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s level degree in Human Resources or Business plus a minimum of 5 years of HR business partner experience, preferably in a health services, health care or call center environment.
Human Resources professional certification required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time to various worksite locations
